Saturday Islamic School 

Welcome to Purley Masjid Islamic Saturday School where we strive for Ehsaan in teaching the Deen.

Our approach towards Islam encourages young learners to gain an understanding and appreciation of who our Creator is and helps them develop a deep love and connection to Allah swt. This means they will instinctively want to explore and practice this beautiful Deen In Sha Allah, and at the same time enjoy learning about Islam in a way that is fun and engaging, creating positive friendships underpinned by Islamic values along their journey.

Some of the tools used in our teaching are:

• Arts & Crafts

• Group work

• Debating & discussing

• Videos

We use Google Classroom as our communication platform with parents/carers. We set regular homework. 

The children will put on an end-of-year show for parents to attend, showcasing some of what they have learned during the year. 

Our curriculum is developing and changing as per the needs of our students but includes Tafsir of some surahs, Islamic studies, Arabic and Quran reading with Tajweed rules. This is a 2-hour session from 9.30 am-11.30 am on Saturday mornings. The fee for this option is £15 per month.
